Rautenberg & Company advises Arcus Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition of Swiss fibre provider Swiss4net.

The team around Arndt Rautenberg advised the London-based fund manager Arcus Infrastructure Partners on the acquisition of Swiss4net Holding AG in Baar. Closing took place on April 27, 2018.

Arcus Infrastructure Partners LLP is an independent fund manager specialising in European infrastructure. It currently manages investments in the infrastructure sector with an aggregate enterprise value of over €17 billion as at end of March 2018. Arcus focuses on European mid-market infrastructure opportunities in telecoms, transport and energy, where it has the presence, experience and relationship to uncover attractive investment opportunities and drive significant additional value over the lifetime of the investment, through its active asset management approach.

Swiss4net AG builds and operates one of the few independent open-access FTTH networks in Switzerland and is extremely well positioned to secure future growth in this attractive market. With its operating companies Baden Fibre Networks in Baden and Ticino Fibre Networks in Chiasso, Swiss4net is currently able to supply more than 25,000 households with fiber-optic-based bandwidths of up to 1 GBit/second. With the support of Arcus as the sole shareholder, the company will be able to increase this number significantly in the coming years.

The Rautenberg & Company team advised and supported the buyer throughout the entire process, in particular with regard to competitive positioning and differentiation in the purchase process and the preparation of a commercial due diligence as well as the development of a value creation plan for the company.
