Rautenberg Moritz & Co. advises S21sec on the sale of the ATM cybersecurity platform Lookwise Device Manager (LDM) to Auriga.
The team around Gero Steinröder advised S21sec, a portfolio company of Sonae IM, on the carve-out of the modular ATM security platform and cybersecurity business unit Lookwise Device Manager (LDM) and its subsequent sale to Auriga. Signing of this cross-border transaction took place on April 15th, 2020.
Sonae IM is a corporate venture capital firm investing in cybersecurity, retail and telecommunications technology companies. Sonae IM is headquartered in Porto (Portugal) and currently holds 34 direct investments, encompassing companies from early stage to growth stage.

Auriga is a leading technology provider of omnichannel solutions for the banking and payments industries. Its software suite manages more than 34,000 ATMs throughout the world and 70% of all ATMs in Italy. The company employs more than 350 people and is headquartered in Bari (Italy).
LDM is a highly regarded modular software solution to protect critical devices such as ATMs against cybersecurity attacks. LDM is developed and managed in offices in Pamplona, San Sebastian (Spain) and Mexico City. Auriga will integrate the solution into its software suite for protecting, monitoring and controlling networked devices such as ATMs, point of sale terminals and critical infrastructure control systems.
